To be able to verify your tank has finished cycling, you need to get a liquid test kit to determine the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. API is the brand I can recommend due to accuracy.

Wow, that's a nice rock bass. How did you get him? I only see rock bass when i'm at Lake George fishing for largemouth and smallmouth i run into a tiny rock bass here and there.

Yes i was kidding about the starveing, because he looks so fat and healthy. That last pic looks a lot like the Shadow Bass, but NJ is not in their normal range. Never saw such a nice pic of those. He is really nice. In your first pic at top, in the background is a smaller fish, about mid tank in the back, what is that??

Ok i see that now, has tilapia written all over it, ive just never seen the red fin, Probably the LMB hadnt seen one either, but said whats that Hmmm tastes like chicken any way, nice fish
