Rock weight and the Tank....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah, you are right...

I have emailed the guy that I bought the tank from so hopefully he might be able to shed some light in my moment of panic. (sitting in the office thinking that my tank has cracked under pressure and there is the world of a puddle and flapping fish on the floor!)

Maybe I'm just being a tart and its all probably fine! Though will be moving sand around tonight you can bet on that ;)

lol how deep is the sand then not hard to just lift up some sand and go o look foam or go OMG NO FOAM :nilly:

Well I'm in the Netherlands and its only 14.11... so long way to go till home time!

Did leave my tank alone all day yesterday and got home and all was good... hoping today will be the same.

The depth of my sand... well, its reasonable. I am new to the whole fish tank keeping, but loving it all. BUT! My inexperience and over enthusiasm leads to bad decisions like just dumping the tank on its table without thinking.... well..thats not true because I did put a foam under the tank at first when I got home and it just ended up looking more wobbly! SO had the males lift the tank while I slid it off.

When I picked up I am 90% sure there was none there done by the original owners.

oh dear...there is panic at the disco :)

Home time >? school

anyway lets hope it works :D just keep us updated or just me by the look of it :D

Because i am off to bed yea yea 10:18 pm early but heck i am tired lol NIGHT good luck

Yah! will make sure to keep you posted when I get home from work...

fingers crossed!

for the price of the foam and the effort involved in movng the sand, and draining the water in buckets, id put some foam under it.

if it was my tank id rather suffer now and add some foam. rather than suffer when the tank is full of water and livestock, im paranoid enough about my tank. i dont need the worry that it could bust. it would be really annoying if it went before it had anything in it. id hate to payout for another one. tanks are expensive enough the first time round:)

i think you could use one of those sleeping bag foam underlay mat things. they come in loads of colours, widths, and thicknesses/densities

Very very true! I did put some rocks up and stuff, got loads of sand at the bottom of my tank so I HOPE it'll be fine till the weekend when I get the chance to change it all around.

I personally would never go without some sort of foam between my tank and stand (or table) As for a foam base under the sand in the tank, i think this is unnecessary.
