well so far the oscars are being quite behaved from what i've heard from other people to be honest.

its my boyfriends crayfish that seems to like to wreak all my plants!

Yea wish mine was behaved he is just a little crazy hence name Loco :D

hahaha, that is cute!

I've got two which we have named "Brutus" and the other is "Maximus"

They may be behaved with regards to not moving things around, but they do have a taste for tetras :) I bought 2 for my bf's daughter (knowing it would eventually get eaten, though her old one died of semi-natural causes).

Think the male lasted a good 3 hours? The female made it over night.
My Dempseys never showed any interested in tetras, but obviously the Oscars feel slightly differently :)
 
I have never used foam, probably never will, and never had a problem from not doing so either. I just check to see if the stand it is sitting on is level and use shims, and even then when I do that, it's only on larger tanks.
