BOTH. Sometimes i'll prefer it with one or the other... example rockwork with cichlids... but sometimes I have both in the same tank.

Hello, how about an exterior rock background with some rocks inside and one or two big center pieces of driftwood laying along the bottom, possibly with some branches coming higher?

I read a post reciently were someone was bieng bashed for putting a bottle in his tank...it wasn't NATURAL...Well...let me tell you...if you dont think thats natural you've never visited a river around here...LOL
Which river was this? I hope you don't mean the L.A. River? It's sad to see human trash the river, lakes, and ocean. I see drunks dropping beer bottles into the ocean all the time whenever I'm on a fishing expedition.:shakehead

To be on topic, I like driftwood due to it being lighter than rocks and not as scarey if I ever happen to drop a small piece. I like look of rocks too but it makes me nervous when aquascaping using rocks. Not that I purposely drop it to amuse myself but without the rocks I eliminated a possible risk that would cause my tank to go "Kaboom!". Another thing is it also depends what type of fish is in the tank.
