Just wait until Chelsea picks it back up.

On another note, if Abrahomovich goes through with getting rid of Mourinho, I guarantee Chelsea will not win another title for another 50 years.

They will win another as long as Abrahomovich continues to dish out ridiculous amounts of money. There are plenty of managers out there that could lead Chelsea to another title. Abraomvich is more important to Chelsea than Mourinho. After all he was the one that brought in all the players. And Mourinho is the one asking Abramovich to buy more players now because his side is playing like ****.

If they do sack him though I hope they bring in a manager that believes in creating and bringing their own players through the academy. None of this running off to the transfer market just because you aren't in form. For me that doesn't make a great club. Its the easy way out. I am glad that Abrahomovich closed the door this time on transfers. This will really test Moruinho now ;)

He is definitely starting to show signs of pressure, this is something that he has not experienced since being at Chelsea. And it is showing. The reason why Chelsea are playing the way they are right now is mostly because of him.

He sold defenders at the beginning of the season...now look where they are having problems...That was his fault.

He continues to blame their form at the moment on injuries. Which is true. But unlike others they have spent hundreds of millions to strengthen the depth of their squad.

Not good enough.

Abrahomovich is certainly not more important to Chelsea than Mourinho. Why didn't Chelsea win the Premier League or Champions League without Mourinho there. Roman had already been at Chelsea, but it was only with the arrival of Mourinho that Chelsea actually started winning. Mourinho is asking Roman to buy the players because that's his job, to ask for players. Why is it wrong of him to ask for a central defender when he has to innovate and put Michael Essien back there, or move over Paulo Ferreira when he's suited to play on the right side.

Mourinho has proven in the past he can win without big names, or maybe you don't remember F.C. Porto ;) when he won a UEFA cup and Champions League title with relative no-name players and a squad wage a quarter the size of Man U.

Chelsea is lucky they're playing as well as they are. It's because of him they aren't losing by anymore. Trust me, Mourinho prepares more and better than any other Manager in the game.

Others don't have injuries to their #1,2 goalies, their 2 central defenders, Joe Cole, Robben. The list goes on. Why do you think that ALL of his players are lobbying for him to continue at Chelsea? And why do you think that Frank Lampard said he would buy out the rest of his contract and leave Chelsea and follow Mourinho wherever he goes? Besides, he doesn't have Cristiano Ronaldo playing the best football in the world right now ;)

here are my thoughts on cristiano ronaldo
1. He is a good footballer not a great footballer. all the fancy stuff really isnt needed i would take a roben over ronaldo anyday. Roben speed beats players and serves the ball and scores what else do you need? the fancy stuff really isnt needed.
2. He is a disrespectable player. ill say that he never has a bad touch only because if he does he hits the floor. And if he doesnt get the call he crys about it. Very very disrespectful to the game and to everyone else on the pitch.

Id would like ronaldo if he stayed off the pitch and just did the and1 commercials for soccer, or if he would just get off the ground and play. just my thoughts

Disrespectful? Kind of like Wayne Rooney, the crown jewel of the UK who punches players, kicks them in the groins.

Or Zidane who head butts opposing players in the World Cup Finals of all places and is still crowned best player in the tournament.

Ronaldo is hated because of that horrible smear campaign made against him.

And he should do it again. That is what makes a great manager.

Bottom line is.

If Abramovich was to leave Chelsea...There goes all the cash....there goes all Chelseas spending power.

There are plenty of managers out there that can match Mourinho...but never has there been someone like Abramovich that could just create a Championship winning team overnight.

If Abramovich hadn't arrived 3 years ago Chelsea would still be a mid table team.

Unfortunately there is a lot of that happening in the game at the moment :(

Just look at the whole Portugal team at the World Cup...Ronaldo was part of that too.

However now that he has returned to England he seems to have cut A LOT of that out of his game.

Abrahomovich Abraomvich Abramovich

How is that spelled again? ;)

I think Abramovich is finding that he cannot sink money over and over again into the transfer market. It simply drives the price up for everyone, including Chelsea. Mourinho now has a roster of names that is simply stunning. Unfortunately, as many noted prior to this year, how do you keep so many "names" happy? Mourinho has often stated he wanted two players at every position ... only to find that most world-class players are quite unhappy being second string, and performing mostly in the Carling Cup (no disrespect to that competition implied) ala Wayne Bridge. Does Chelsea have enough depth? Obviously not - they are losing games. But also obviously so - they are still 2nd in the Premiership and performing well in Europe. Mourinho's main managerial flaw is his disproportionate sense of success. He demands such great performance that his team expects, demands, to win every time out. He obviously has a roster of players that give his all for him and his tactical skill keeps them in every game. Unfortunately, that same devotion he creates disallows him from confronting players who perform poorly, which requires him to blame everything on outside forces (the refs, the crappy medical team at Reading, the physical style of play in the Premiership THAT HE CHOSE to manage in, the injuries, too many international dates, too many games in the Premiership). When was the last time he said his team sucked? And they do sometimes. Blame it on a lack of John Terry or Petr Cech, but irregardless, sometimes his players make stupid plays. Everybody does.

Look at Arsene Wenger. His team has been decimated with injuries. Fortunately, he gives young players opportunities throughout the year to play first-team football, and he reaps the rewards. Mourinho does not. His roster and gameday teams change very little, for all of his "2 player for position" verbal diarrhea. The guys who play for him give him their all, and the guys he doesn't play ... well, they never get in there to give it their all and they leave. Either way, it is to Mourinho's managerial credit that his team performs so well. It is also to his cocky attitude and same managerial style that they are performing poorly. I am interested to see if he does stay past the year. I certainly hope he does not. He is an incredible manager, but his shenanigans detract much from the greatness that is the Premier League.

J

Are there any players on Chelsea's current roster that were developed in the Chelsea Youth Academy?

Terry and Ben Sahar. ahahah. I love the Premier league but it's realistically turned into a league of foreign players where there are less and less homegrown players on every single club team and less and less English players. IE Arsenal.

Mourinho is doing the same thing he did while he was at Porto in Portugal. It's difficult to like him when he's not managing your team. I despised him while he was at Porto, (benfica fan), but I've always respected him and always will. What he does it try to remove all of the pressure off of the team and place it onto his shoulders alone. He's notorious for trying these tactics in Portugal and it worked there, but he seems to be having a little bit of trouble dealing with it at Chelsea.

I just don't understand why there is so much negativity surrounding this situation when he's 2nd in the Premier League with half a season to go, in the knockout stage of the Champions League, and still in every other domestic league in England.

That is what I was getting at.

I would love to see more teams with home grown talent and put a stop to clubs spending extreme amounts of money.

money is a big decider... i mean football is a business afterall. Hell if was a multibillionaire i could throw all the money i wanted at wolverhampton wanderers and get them to top of the premiership. I agree with fica having a good manager can be just as important. I am gutted about the amount (or lack of) homegrown talent, and money invested (although it has gone up recently) Arsenal used to have the england back 5 plus others.... now i struggle to even think of an english player, same with many teams.
Also fica i feed ashamed that you said that rooney is the crown jewel of the UK (although it would be england). I'd have concentrated on getting alan smith up to scratch with defoe. Ahwell as long as i dont have to see michael owen in the team i'll be happy.
