i never said I hate Ronaldo I actually think hes a wonderful player when hes not eating grass from diving so much. I dont think he carries Man U....i think they have to thank paul scholes for that, hes their garbage man...he may not be electrifying, but hes the soul of the team point blank. I think youre really missing the point about what I am trying to say. Its no personal attack on C Ronnie. I think he needs to mature more and only time will tell if in fact he will be as great as Luis Figo Ronaldhino Platini Zidane Van Basten etc....just to name some of the great midfielders ever to play. I hope he does make because I agree he could be the next big thing. HIS GAME NEEDS TO MATURE is all im saying and I dont think you have been able to grasp that.

To make one thing clear I said ALLEGED talks about the trade for Xavi and C Ronnie ... I never said it was etched in stone. Well have this conversation again when C Ronnie is about 25 -26 and we will hopefully agree that his game has changed and that he is more team oriented and less individualistic.

By the way I think Maniche carried the portugese team on his back in the world club.....hes the paul scholes of the Portugese national team...if it wasnt for his play and the way he held the midfield ..not to mention his goals...portugal would not have gotten as far as they did. I think he deserves the credit.

I hope you understand this is all in good chat... so dont get offended and dont take this personal at all. But dont take certain points of my post and use them against me as all this is futbol chat...

Take Care bud

Aye, I understand what you mean about Ronaldo. I absolutely agree that he needs to mature, but he's not as big a diver as people make him out to be.

True, Maniche did carry Portugal in the World Cup but Ronaldo has a different effect on the team.

I also hear that Real Madrid is lining up a 50+ million offer for Ronaldo.

I'm not offended, I just get VERY VERY passionate about the subject, particularly since I don't have many places to discuss the matter, so I kind of lash out whenever it's talked about. I'll always argue for Ronaldo and Mourinho because I think they're two of the best at what they do, and they make me very proud to be Portuguese. :D

Tis a good chat, let's keep it up

got to say saw ronaldos last game, and its hard to think of a more effective player sometimes (even if the game was against bottom of prem). If he scored all the sitters he missed, god knows he'd be way ahead of drogba. When he gets that sorted, and maybe if he becomes a little less greedy, he'll be as good as fica thinks of him now lol. second top scorer in prem, that aint bad for a "winger".

I know it's hard for you to say that, ahahha, being an Arsenal fan and all and hating the Portuguese as much as you do :grinno: :grinno:

if the colombian national team was any good I would be too....im just used to disappointment ha ha ha ha ha ha.....Real Madrid does need C Ronaldo ...I think Robihno is ****** garbage and the most overrated player in the history of futbol. They need someone creative and intelligent to run the midfield. Gutti sucks, Diarra is Diarea, Emerson needs a cane to play ....Reyes is the only bright spot and hes never on the pitch...and what a waste of money on those argentines my god !!!! I miss the real madrid of the past with figo ronaldo and zidane... and before that with mijatovic and company.....

I hope Real does get C Ronaldo because this would be Ronnie's biggest opportuniy to shine shine shine....

I was thinking about Ronnies future and what would be the best decision he could make.

Stay at Man U

or go to Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Well, Higuain is still really young and same goes for Gago. That kid Marcelo they signed is supposed to be pretty incredible too. It's nice to at least see them invest in some youth.

I also keep hearing that they're lining up a move for Kaka and willing to pay around 55 million.

I keep hearing another rumor about them trying to sign Frank Ribery too.

Ya theyre very young and got thrown into the bulls arena right away....theyre 19 i think right? I just dont see the justification in that. Let them get setteled in first. I think it was a waste because of this not because of the players caliber... i was typing a quick responce at work. I think they are talentedm, but can subcomb to burn out with the many competitions in Europe compared to SA. I want to see the young brazilian play I think it would be cool. Kaka ... eh ribery would be a nice choice to complement C Ronnie

Yeah, Higuain is 19. Gago is 19.

Higuain is supposed to be a reincarnation of Trezeguet and Gago one of Fernando Redondo.

Marcelo is 18 and on the Brazilian national team, so he's got a pretty bright future :D

It's good seeing them get younger players now and paying what they pay because I can't imagine how much they would cost when they're older. Just imagine that Real Madrid could have had Cristiano for around 20 million euros, and now it'll cost them more than 50 million to get him. Hopefully they don't get burned out like you said.

Carlos Queiroz said this about Ronaldo:

«Cristiano Ronaldo poderá ficar para
o futebol como Michael Jordan ficou
para a NBA»

translated, it means, Cristiano Ronaldo can be for soccer what Michael Jordan was for the NBA.

Simao Sabrosa scored the first. Ricardo Carvalho the second.

Cristiano was the captain for the Portuguese National team a day after turning 22 which I think makes him the youngest captain ever for Portugal. What a great day. :D
