rookie here need heko about arowana

i just bought an arowana just a silver arowana its like the size of a wireless phone (i dont know whats the size of it) my question is the fins of my arowana have a one small hole very small.. and the fins are like someone cut it... i really dont know how to explain it.. pls help me i dont wanna loose my arowana... i just have that arowana like 2 or 3 weeks just new... is my arowana sick?

50 gal.. filter whisper 50 to 60 gal capability... tankmates? goldfish... shape like a diamond with huge stomach... sorry im just new here...some say its a fin rot if it is a fin rot what should i do?

What are your water parameters? What test kit do you use? Finrot is often a result of poor water conditions. You need to correct this by doing water changes.

50 gallons is too small...when do you do water changes?

I get that from time to time. But, i and salt and bump the temp to 86 and it heals. But you might want to consider upgrading your tank. AND, you might want to UP your filtration and water changes.

once a week... i just use aquasafe water conditioner...
