yeah man get some pics on here..

my silver arowana is about 3-4 inches long? bout the same size as yours? and sometimes arowanas hit a point in their life where they just get some nips and cuts in their fins..its natural and should go away in at MOST a couple weeks, if not, get some melafix and make sure your other fish arent giving the arowana these nips and cuts..
hope this helps some? ha pics are needed
Resort to meds last, go natural with the salt and up the temp a bit and all will be good, and more water changes.

up the temp for about like? 32 celcius?

First i'm glad you car enough about your fish to fin help. Your tank will become small for your aro really fast but first let sget him healthy. Go to your local fish store and buy some aqarium salt for freash water tanks. One table spoon for every gallon. Mix it in a pale first. keep your temp up around 84 deg's. Start doing regular water changes like 2 times a week 30% or around 6" of water everytime. Make sure you treat the water for clorine before you put it in the tank. Try to make sure the water is the same temperature as the tank water when you put it in. Save your money up you need a new filter for cost i recomend a Aquaclear cheap and easy to clean i like to use a aquaclear 110 foe 50 gal tanks. before you know it he will be health and happy.

3 LB per 100 gallons, so 1.5LB of salt. I find morton's kosher salt works good but aquarium salt also does the job. DO NOT use table salt. And do not directly pour the salt into your tank or it'll burn your aro, mix it with some water in a bucket first and once its fully dissolved, you can pour it in.

Forgot how much 32 celcius is but 86 farenheit is good.

one more stupid question do i need to turn off the lights everynight? and i put an aquarium salt on it i hope it works.. i cant sleep because of my arowana.. its my 1st arowana and i dont want it to die.....

best to not turn on your lights for a while. Let it calm down, and let the salt do its thing. All you can do now is, do more water changes, and keep up the salt.
