Yes its fin rot. And if you have 2 silvers, you're really going to need to upgrade really soon...

ok i have aquarium salt and a melafix... which one should do better? or should i use it at the same time? should i treat it for how many days? pls help i dont wanna over do...

Use salt. People have told you now several times that it could be fin rot or a bit of fin nipping. Regardless, bump the temp and add salt.

I'm afraid you should have done your research before making the purchase of 2 silver arowana, as it doesn't seem like you will be able to take care of them in a 50g. For 2 silvers you would need at least a 300g, and even then, when dealing with more than one silver, you should get 3. (this does not, DOES NOT mean you should go buy a third right now.)

Either look into upgrading to a 300, or you may have to get rid of them, after you get them back up to health that is...

stay with salt, no meds unless absolutely neccesary. And upgrade like now...Next time, research before you get the aro.

:iagree: You should never get two arowanas, the more aggressive aro, sooner or later, will pick on the less aggressive one. Whereas if you get three or more, it's harder for each aro to target just one

Hey, everyone makes mistakes. One of the biggest mistakes is taking advice from your LFS. (seems they should actually be of help, but are usually just after the sale.) Always come here to MFK to research your fish before buying. The search function will almost always direct you towards great information/links/etc.

my aros use to get that from time to time it usually goes away in 2 days if not then i add about half a teaspoon of salt to my 100gal
