Mine is definitely cool! I wish I could've gotten more but this was the healthiest one out of them all and is about 10". What are you feeding yours cuz I've had mine for about 6 months now and I've seriously never seen it eat! I don't even know if it does cuz I always see its food in the morning so I have to scoop it out.
I love mine. And as I posted in my thread about ropefish being nigh-indestructible, the one I have that was attacked by my tentacled snake is swimming around fine like no big deal.

Mines just over 12" (eyeballing it) and he'll eat anything, first night i sat and watched in the dark and saw he ate meal worms. after that I didnt "see" him eat again for weeks but knew he was when i wasnt around. He was timid at first almost never came out to eat while i was watching, but after a couple weeks he settled in, Now he's out front and center with the rest looking for food when he sees me approach and eats anything , I feed the tank meal worms/chopped shrimp/chopped smelt & pellets and he eats it all , even swims up now for floating pellets if the bottom runs out of food !
Try some chopped worm, my buddy had the same problem with his little rope, mine eats like a pig and the only one who eats more then my 14 incher is the red hi fin wolf

Figured Id toss in a pic of mine, he's a true glutton.. he eats whole giant earthworms stuffed w/ hikari, freeze dried brine shrimp, the occasional tilapia and has grown a solid 3 inches since I got him like 2 months ago

I would love to have a tank with a group of 5 of them but I just never really see them anymore so I just have my one hopefully when my 40b is free, I can put my guy in there and hopefully find a few more the same size

Local shop here has some now all around 12", I'm just waiting for him to order some new ones again to try and get larger females, He had a few BIG ones on the last order but someone beat me too them!
