What other good beginner T's? I've been trhinking about getting one. I really like Skeleton T's and Togo Starburst...

thank you for the web sites and info, im planning on geting one sometime this week. there really intresting, i read that they dont like big tanks is a 5 1/2 gallon to big or should i get a 2 1/2

I think a 5 gallon would be fine, but a 2.5 would be just as good. I kept mine in a medium Kritter Keeper.

Other decent beginner Ts are: curly-hairs, pink-toes and possibly zebras (which can be more skittish).

I woudn't recommend getting a Togo (Heteroscodra maculata) for a first, I keep one and they are lightning fast and are one of the more venomous tarantulas. Mexican red knee (Brachypelma smithi) would make a good first T as would pretty much any of the brachypelma sp. I'm not familiar with the skeleton tarantula...sorry

They grow very very slow so choose an enclosure thats fits the spider. A 5 1/2 would be fine for an adult.
