  1. ive got a rose hair,mex red leg,usumbra baboon that is very,very very agro,pink toe,king baboon,goliath bird also very agro and have had curly hairs and skeletons.kind of studied them all but thats what i have anyways.if you get any aborial typs then please get a tall at least a foot or so tall cage with a diagonal branch of some sort.always use peat moss and keep it dry for the desert typs and moist for the tropics.all ts will drink from misting the cage and keep shallow bowls in the cage so you can dump some water in now and then.They move from blood pressure so dont let them dehydrate.Dont ever keep them on a substrate like vermiculite that clings to their feet ,they hate it and will not come down from the side and will strees to death,peat is best.
  2. dont hold it unless you are very sure of yourself,they do not handle fals well,the ground dwellers realy dont,my cat nocked my oldest rose hair down from the closet and it ruptured and died.things to think about.Of course the entire cage fell with it but trust me,either way it wouldhave not made it.
  3. Get a rose hair that looks fat in the abdomen.females live longer and dont stress trying to get out in breeding season.Medium critter cage is perfect,keep it on the dry side,dont let it get too cold in winter and dont over heat it.Mine moves and digs everything up,some fake cacti and a water dish .I mist the cage and fill the dish about once every 2 weeks,eats crickets and meal worms.
  4. keep it well fed but they can go weeks not eating but why do that.i will post a great tarantula site for you on the next post,very professionall and lots of info,more than youl ever need.
 
get pet keep on a 25% vermiculite 75% peat moss with a cork cave and a under tank heater and you will have a fun interactive pet for years I got one when I was 12 and had her till 21 it was great and a good way to freak out you friends when you pull her out. Just make sure you get a female life span is allot longer

yeah im going to get a 5 1/2 gallon and a under tank heater i dont know if could find a cork cave but i think im going to use bedabeast or something like that.
