When I used to have one all the RQ's I saw were coral pink. You can also see that not all have white eyes :)

The ones I'm seeing now are more oranged based like the OP. I'm not saying its not a RQ, I don't have enough experience with them to be sure of that statement.

Thanks for that. Is there a lot of variation in Midas x Syn crosses or do they all pretty much turn out very similar? For example, are the offspring 100% RQ or will say only 15% fit the ideal?

your rose queens are very nice
 
^ Agreed. I expect to see rose queens be coral colored pink/orange/purplish though, but the face on the OP's fish looks flowerhorn more than midevil. It's a nice tall fish though.
 
It's missing the most important part color. It doesn't have that "purple" red or pink coloration.
