I think they are not armored like other plecos, I wouldnt put them with aggressive fish. They look super cool.
Seems like none of my sa or ca even pay attention to him but probably less hardy then the common variety

Extremely hardy fish. It will need wood for a proper diet as well as appropriate food. It will get very large. They are armored, just like most other plecos and these fish can be aggressive. Don't be fooled by its cool looks and gentle nature, this fish can take care of itself. If you get one, be prepared for a tank full of "sawdust" as it will constantly eat that driftwood. The result is, wood shavings everywhere. Everywhere.
