RTC + Alligator gars ?

Its monsoon season here so the temp is a bit low . the gars are not feeding as well as they used to also they get spooked a lot. . why do u think this is I even covered the sides of the tank with paper
does anyone know why my 12" alligator gar has aarch at the end of his back all of a sudden just woke up and looked at him andhe was like this couldthis befrom feeding goldfish?
The gators have only grown about an inch and a half last 2 months but have become fatter . . do u think its the tank size ? Oh and they are eating again
