RTC Compatibility!?!??!?!

When my RTC was 18 inches he ate 5" oscars for a snack. He is about 24" now and he has tried to eat my 15" aro. The aro gets away but he looses scales and gets bruised. The oscars that are in there with him now are 8" and the have "grown up" together. He doesn't go near the alligator gar. Red Belly Pacu I think would be safe as long as they are bigger than the rtc's mouth. Otherwise other big cats are safe, so long as they are about 3/4 the size of the rt. My red tail has eaten channel cats, asian rtc, and my marble/tsn hybrid. I have a second rtc, a tsn, and two hybrids in with him as well. Any thing that goes into the tank now, Is a snack for who ever gets to it first!
for your aro a good mix of hikari food sticks, massovoire, shrimp/prawns, and fish fillets are a great diet...it is a great diet for you cat aswell...DON'T put an oscar in the tank unless you don't care if it gets eatten...everyone who says they have oscars with rtcs and that they are fine are 99.99% of the time wrong...they will at some point eat the oscars...just stick with the big cats of the same size, LARGER silver aro/aros, or pacus like i have been saying from the start...i have had many big cats and will have more...listen to my advice or you will lose fish to consumtion by rtc...
if you notice the guys aro that is being attacked by the rtc, the rtc is bigger...it is only time before it gets caught and the oscars are eatten...it doesn't matter that the grew up together and are "friends"...a guy on here had a massive oscars that grew up with his massive rtcs...onen by one they eventually dissapeared...

yes -oscars are in no way monsters you want fish at absolute minimum 24in with good bulk.bonesb66;4130042; said:
The aro will be a good 6 inches or 4 inches bigger so the Aro will probley have a faster growth rate then the RTC. Even if the RTC grows slightly faster there will be a 4inch diffrence most of the time. Still a risk, but ill take the chance.
