try a 6foot long by 3foot back by 2foot deep pond there in most shops around here for £150 and get 4 300w heaters if going out side or garge would be better :D and a fulval X5

good idea cheap to buy and cheap to run i might do that , i am think of getting a Circular pond , here the website http://www.ponds4fish.co.uk/ctanks.htm

300w heater is a good idea . but the wire won't reach to the house, so u will have to use a water proof 4 socket lead cost about £100 or more. how would u waterproof the heater wires.

and bruce what have u got in your pond

that a lot , i bet you will need a bigger pond soon

any more cheap heaters ideas to run

If you think the Fluval is expensive try paying for the electric bill every month for heating and filtering a tank that big, it will add up fast friend. As will feeding a monster like an RTC. Unless you can catch free food to feed it you'll be spending the $200 an FX5 costs in food in no time. And quite frankly how anyone can suggest a 6ft tank for a fish that can grow to over 1/2 that is off thier rocker.

when redtail catfish are bigger they are toughter .

when they are small i can keep the rtc inside , but when the rtc grow he will have to go outside.

but i might not do this becuase what the heating bill and i will have wait until i leave home. unless i find a cheap heating
i think that will be the best idea

do u think that the best idea

Good plan, wait until you have your own place unless you have understanding parents. The electricity bill will really take a blow with a big outdoor tank. For instance just adding my 75g with 300w heater and 240w light added at least $20 to my bill and thats just a 75g tank.
