Youd need more than 1 FX5, id go for 6x4x2 you can get them for around £150, thats what i paid for mine.

your 6x4 aint gonna cut it for a adult

1 or 2 rtc or hybrid in a 6' round pond minimum and 1 fx5 with good weekly water change would be fine for that set up....

never heard of using a block heater .

shed idea is good , it will be cheap if i built is my self. probaly ,

then i can put l lot of insulation in the shed and maybe if i am lucky i don't need heater .

and what would you have a rtc or rtc x tsn

and how many year would u thought they will stay in a 6ft circular Pond

With a well insulated shed you shouldnt require a heater in the summer, i mean have you felt the heat lately?

But you inevetabely would in the winter and it would be expensive.

If at all possible try and have the shed attached to the house (just right next to a wall) and if you or anybody in youre circle of friends is handy get the sump inside the house, this would help with heating.

You can also buy 1000w heaters cheap and they are the traditional rod type.

Oh by the way youre looking at 10x4 for one of these monsters, also remember larger volumes of water take longer to cool down.
