Hey I have a hybrid catfish that is not doing so well he is in a 125 gal tank. I do 25% water changes weekly, last week i started to notice his a fungus growth around his mouth and a small white round spot behind his dorsel. 7 days later his mouth is still the same but worse and the white round spot has turned into a big round red spot (the size of a penny) located behind his dorsel and another one beneath his fin on his body. I also forgot to mention his wiskers are falling of as if they are being comsumed by something. I will post pics in the next fews hours, but my question is what is this thing that is growing on him and how can it be treated? I am going to be raising the temp to 80 -84 but my second question is how much salt is required in a 125 Gal (dont have the pet store salt i wil be using table salt). If anyone can help me please help.. thanks

Here's pics of the catfish. The iridescent is starting to get sick too. His eyes are cloudy and he's starting to get a red sore on the side f his body. Pics of the iridescent aren't the best but that's b/c he moves a lot, but you can still see it. :(

Thanks!

water quality is probably the issue. that's not a very big tank for those guys...

I'd do a 50% water change today and one tomorrow.
And with the size of them I'd start doing them every 3-4 days.
You need more volume.
Might be ammonia burns.

yeah just put ur fish in a bucketr and just pump all that **** water out and clean the rocks and then fill it back up with a hose

YEAH YOUR WATER LOOKS KINDA CLOUDY

NO TABLE SALT!!!!!!!!! do you have a test kit? how long has this tank been setup? what filter and media are you running? are those the only two fish? no need to cook your fish either.
