rubber bands in the fish tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Idk, wait for somebody to say if they know. But make sure it won't break, because if it does, it could break apart into the water, and your fish might try to eat it...

just for peace of mind, i prefer not to use elastic bands.
u can get plastic attach pieces, kinda like they use in irak as handcuffs.
u might see them in electronice packaging and they are almost like a belt and fasten to themselves and either need to be pulled apar hard o release or be cut away.

they are really cheap, i can get them from my smallest lfs and i think they are most often used for heater holders or something. go to ur lfs and describe what u want and i am sure they will recomment the plastic binder thingies.

sorry if i have not described them very well but dont worry, they are easy to get.

rubber bands slowly deteriorate overtime, but they are pretty cheap so you can replace them whenever you need to.

I've used rubberbands with no ill effects. I've tied down plants and have even rubberbanded a piece of blanched zucchini to a small stone on several occasions. No problems.
