Rubbermaid tubs

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well it was in my bedroom so I noticed the wet carpet when I stepped in it in the morning. It was a very slow leak from a tiny crack. The tub is still good. You wouldn't see the crack if you didn't know it was there.
And only one foot cracked. Where it meets the tub. Maybe it was a fluke. Probably would be ok if you used foam to support the whole thing. And maybe cut shallow holes in the foam for the feet. And use foam that is a little wide. Because the sides do bow out allot. It gets a bit wider than normal. Even with the strap.
It's just that the plastic stretches a bit. It pulled the base away from the foot.
I wouldn't be afraid to try it again. I'd just set it up properly.

Yeah that pic is the same tub I have. Go for it. I would.

Obviously a better option. But that fancy shmancy glitter box looks way out of my trailer park dreams.

well since were talking about rubbermaid tubs
where can you get a 50 gallon one and how much would it cost?

Some walmarts, you just have to check around. $12

This is H20 in Long Island,
They use the Strap & Board Technique that's been mentioned on this thread.
And These Tubs are HUGE!!!

For the last couple years my 300 gal has been freestanding in the back yard.

Had Geo braziliensis breed in it. Put these guys in in May 06 as 1/2" fry they came out in Oct like this

Tilapia niloticus, withstood temps down to the high 40s

This year I decided to dig it in on Memorial day, and dropped in 1 hyacinth.
