Well they should be getting plenty oxygen. Lol Sorry that you are having to go through all of this. I just wonder if the water falling that far into the tank will stress them with the splash and currents it will produce.

They have inline filters in the camping/R.V. section at Walmart. It's basically a carbon filter with very small pores. They're relatively cheap and it will filter out any sediment, rust particles, and the like. Then deduct the price of the filter off of your next water bill! Piece of cake!
