thanks a lot dude...thanks for sharing this informative link:)

I'd also post this fish in the Marine Puffer forum for correct ID. BTW, I'm a gal. ;)

sigh...come to day 9 already...
those foods like earth worms...algae wafers...shrimps...been tried but doesn't border at all...dont know how long can he last...
later will upload some images to show his latest condition...

^ i can pretty much tell you for sure Algae waffers is going to be a waste of time, since pretty much no puffer will touch it...

As for shrimps, were they live or de-frosted??? anyway, you could also try mussels or scallops, and if that still doesn't work, one method thats worked for me in the past was getting a bit of fresh raw garlic, crush it up really well, then roll the food around in the garlic juices before feeding...

The smell of the garlic seems to entice puffers just enough to at least try the food, so maybe you can give that method a try???

What are the parameters? What size tank? If that is an ocellatus, it is a burrowing species. I see he's in BB. My guess is he's not a happy camper.

I'd still like to see you get w proper ID at my forum.

^ If nothings changed then tank size is 36" X 18" and in Freshwater...

Which could also be a very big factor as to why hes acting the way he is, plus the fact has no decorations / substrate???

ok.. at last can upload his latest pic..
from pic you guys can see how skinny is he now..
another 2 close up pic for Iding purpose..

You're not going to get a proper ID at this forum.

I agree with PP that you really need to get an ID for your fish coz hes looking extremely skinny for a puffer, and really needs to be in the correct parameters for him to survive...

So if your really keen on keeping this guy alive, i'd really start looking into getting him sorted out and fattened up...
