S.O.S Sudden Death Curl motoro

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ouch. Sorry to hear man, I know the feeling very well. Hope this doesn't discourage you from rays. Sometimes there's not much you can do about things like this.

Ugh, lousy. You tried though.

That sucks Josh. You did everything you could though. Tankmates (or their death) can easily effect the well being of other fish, especially a delicate pups. It is something we all battle. Probably everyone out there who keeps rays has had a similar experience where things just went wrong. We certainly have.

You mentioned running a "hot" magnum.

I think this is a hang on the back which is simply not up to Ray levels of waste. This would be hard to keep Rays even with extensive water quality knowledge.

I think you were getting spikes of Ammonia and possibly some Nitrite.

If you want to try again then read up on the forum and become an expert on water quality, you will atleast need a cannister filter and lots of water changes.

Sorry for the loss.

The Hot Magnum is just for extra flow. i actually use it mainly for the Micron Cartridge

I have a 30gallon SUMP underneath the tank filled to the rim with BIO-MAX

So sorry for your loss.. I really know how you feel after just losing my Mbu :(

imma pick up some ammo-carb today put that in my HOT magnum Currently it just has Carbon in it.

I run both a Hot magnum on the Tank and the sump. with about 7 boxes of Fluval Bio-max rings

ammo carb is a bad idea. it will starve your beneficial bacteria and you will get spikes.
