i got a good lid, but someone must let it out of place and then he jumped.
there were scales everywhere in the tank.
I knew about their jumping nature, but this really got me surprised.

Sorry for your loss.

I lost my 2 footer due to a faulty water treatment pump that failed and let me pump <6.0 ph water back into my tank during a water change. I raised him for 2.5 yrs from just about 3-4" so I truly feel your pain.
