Haha, I hear that.

I saw a shoal of babies living with 2 10" in a store near me total disregard for the animals in some places.

Yes very sad, they basically are in there as feeders, and I asked nicely if they were their spawn giving them the benefit of doubt....

I will once again say the manager is working with me to make things right, I'm very pleased about that, I don't want money or store credit, I just want those rbp properly housed! I mean its an lfs, they have thousands of tanks for sale, they can't set up a 40b for the baby rbp with a cheap hob?

I will make sure these guys are taken care of, if their not all dead by tomorrow. Id hate to be those poor babies when those lites go out

Wow, some people shouldn't operate stores that carry livestock for this reason. This women probably knows better, but is too ignorant or lazy to do it right.

Its sad to think some people could care less about the well-being of their stock because the're fish. Its still a live animal and diserves to be treated with care.

a local lfs here on indy is apparently cohabing 2 6-7" rbp with apprx a dozen 1-3" baby rbp, not sure if their for feeders or what, but one on the bottom has half his bottom missing and there's a dead one in the back, and the big guys are constantly chasing the little ones to eat, I asked the lady if the spawn belongs to 2 rbp, she told me to mind my own business..... Very sad.

Tank is a custom 38 gallon tank.....

I have the managers card, and I'm calling to make a formal complaint, not only about the fish but the sales women was extremly arogant, she said her 4 year old knows more then me....:banghead:

Poor little guys.

Uncle Bills in Indianapolis? I used to frequent there but stopped due to poor business practices. All of their dogs are puppy mill puppies, unless something has changed.

I complained that there staff were selling pink and blue parrotfish to customers and telling them they'd stay that color. Thats the only place I know of in the area that sells rbp....I'm not surprised.

They were also pawning off 'high quality flowerhorns' on people who didn't know any better. Charging high prices for a bunch of long snouted uglies. I love the selection but their practice has made me avoid them for awhile.

dumb. there not that small. they gotta sell for $25 at least.how can people expect to make money feeding good fish to others

Good point, but Idk if their intended as feeders or not, they have plenty of rosies and goldies in the store.

Just tell the manager you'll take the two big ones home. You'll have two decent looking additions to the shoal, and the babies will be safe.

They want 55$ a piece for a 6" rbp and 25$ a piece for the 2-3"!

Not to mention I already have 5 6-8" rbp in my 125, I prefer not to overstock! Plus my shoal seems to have paired off and I don't want to interfer with new additions, its the lfs problem, they have plenty of space for other fish which is why I'm outraged!

Also, they have clearly been fed feeders, they don't look so good and I would NEVER risk transmitting desease or parasites to my shoal, I don't have a place to quarentine either!

I 100% agree slippery! She's prlly too lazy to scoop them out one by one, she seemed like she was high at the time. No shock there, Atleast that would explain her ignorance.

She told you to mind your own business?? How rude are these people? And if the Cruelty wasn't enough, they throw bad manners into the mix. I would have definitely filed a complaint too. If they tried to give me store credit I would have said absolutely no because even if you buy something there with your credit, you are still supporting this bs.
