Well, like peanut said-you cant force her to feel the same way about fish.. some ppl just dont ever want to be fishkeepers. i would take the tank back from her, and keep it for yourself-If she isnt going to do the proper maintenance, or even feed or look at the poor things, then she doesnt have any desire or interest in them...

I think you all miss understand. I hated fish, she wanted a 10 gallon tank I was like what for fish are stupid. So I took here to the fish store to get a 10 Gallon tank where I saw BALA sharks, I feel in love. So now she had a 10 gallon, but was craying because it was to small and she wanted a bigger one.
See she wanted the fish, and I didn't Ironicly I grew to love them, an am now stuck taking care of all 3 of my tanks and her tank also. I guess I really now have 4 tanks and just let her thank its hers.

I don't think it really matters who started with fish first. What matters is what you do with them. Many ppl look at a cute puppy and go aww and get the puppy but do not properly care for them as they get older. Sounds to me she doesn't wanna bother giving the tank proper care.
Holy overstocked 55, batman. You're gonna end up with a lot more work than what you have now, let me tell you!

I'm seeing someone who thinks that fish are UGLY. She can't stand lloking at them for more than 2 seconds. She doesn't like seafood, not even shrimp! It's interesting though...she's willing to go to Seaworld with me one day and to the Long Beach Aquarium. It's kind of funny and cute. But I don't want to force the hooby on her, but she has to understand how I feel about this hobby.

Give her time and be patient. She MIGHT still come around. Have you taken her to fish stores? Any fish conventions? A public aquarium? Let her read any fish magazines? Does she go on MFK? Remember what it took you to catch the "bug"? Everyone is different. Is the tank stocked with what she is into or what you are into?
