I think with the bigger and deeper gaps between the gravel it traps more particle preventing them from floating around in the tank. I vac once a week and it pulls out a lot of matter.
All whole pellets are eaten every time. They will keep on eating if I let them. Pigs.

According to the chart, my Franciscanus has the right body conformation. So there!
Someone needs to go get some Brasiliensis from Wes so we can compare. They are the goliath of Golden Dorado. The head and gill plate are huge!
