Coming along just fine, I see...
Yeah, the project is going well. Only lost about 12 so far. I was told I should expect to lose 25% of the eggs. So we have more fry than what is expected at this point. Kids are still very interested in the project too. Should be even more interesting after Christmas break when they have to start feeding the fry.

So what kinds of maintenance are you doing on the tank and what kind of filtration do you have? Where they put into a cycled tank? Is there anything special that you need besides a chiller?

I have a friend who is a cichlid breeder he puts somthing blue in the egg tanks to keep the eggs from getting fungus would that work here to help keep down the losses ??

25% weekly water change. A local water company agreed to donate 15 gallons per week for the water changes. Thanks Culligan Man. I leave the water on one of the outside walls and it is cold enough for the change.
I only have a whisper HOB for filtration:irked:. I wrote a grant trying to get a new filter for this year but I didn't get it. I will try to get an AC110 for the project next year.

Thanks! I am on Christmas break now so I need to go and check out the tank soon. They should be fine though.
