Salt and piranhas?

Just did a 50% wc and then added 4 tb sp of API aquarium salt. Although I cant tell if the wc or the salt was the key....WHO CARES! I just hope the best for my babies...
 
Might be a little early to say it but i think the wc and salt made it better? I never see any of the pygos scratch themselves off substrates. They are eating A LOT more than before.... Im guessing they are because they are getting used to the tank as well as me approaching them to drop in their meal. Its funny because at first, they would wouldn't even finish an entire shrimp. They would use to eat about 1/2 the first week. After 2 weeks, the entire shrimp will be gone. Now, I need to feed 2 shrimps for all to be satisfied. I mix the meals between cod fillets and shrimp because the pellets I ordered are wayyy too small...(dumb me) Other than that, I been using Kent's vitamin additives to soak the food first and then dinner is served. I will be gettin pellets soon. I think the sinking ones will work with mine because, the pygos rarely come up to the top to eat. that is unless, they are extremely hungry.
 
I have 5 and they eat 5 jumbo raw shrimps at once, but that's only once a week ;)
