There is no reason to distance yourself from it. The only table salt to avoid is the one containing yellow prussiate as exposure to sunlight can make it generate a harmful substance, hydrogen cyanide otherwise the rest of table salt not containing it, whether iodized or not, should absolutely be fine. There is no reason why you cannot use iodized salt. The iodine concentration is far too low to harm your fish.smpage;3566029; said:Just realized you're using table salt. Ocean, 3 teaspoons per gallon should work effectively against ich. Continue treatment for at least 14 days. When you do a water change, do it every 2-3 days and replace the salt per the water volume you changed.
