I'm ready to rock on the puffer thing, 2 more days... WOOOOOOOOO. heavily planted tank you think? driftwood centerpiece?

Haven't tried live plants in mine so not sure if they would get shreaded...... I have seen him bite on my plastic ones.... Definitely driftwood!!!! Mine loves shells (got him a bigger shell since he out grew the one in my gallery and he's made it his little house) and I have a piece of coral that I found in Fla forever ago that he loves to sit on. I know you've been wanting one so I'm excited for you!!!!

Live plants tend ot die off in brackish conditions. And if they survive that, the puffer will shred them.

damn, i love planted tanks. ok well maybe i can set up a reef rock aquarium. the rock will make the water alkaline, do they like that?

The chemistry will very depending on what type of rock you use. Water with a heavier alk isn't a bad thing.

reef rock and tufa rock. I hope the puffers like it.... 1 DAY AWAY!!! (at least that's when the filter and gravel and decorations will be bought.

tank is set up with tufa and reef rock... and a gravel substrate that is very close to being sand. will simple aquarium salt make it brackish? this is for dwarf puffers.
