honestly I have had a peacock eel for roughly a month and a half now, and in my opinion this is the only way to get them to feed. Starting first.
1. they need a good hiding spot
2. Prolly wont eat for the first 2 weeks due to unfamiliar tank, and nervousness.
3. Honestly if they are more than 5" they wont eat anything but live earthworms, bloodworms havent worked yet for me.
4. Make sure the worms are small enough for the eal to swallow and not choke.
5. If ur other fish are getting the worms before he can, hook a worm onto a paper clip, and slowly lower ur hand close to wear the eel is, let the worm riggle around or simulate a wriggling (make sure other fish stay away or just net them). and wait for him to attack it.
This is the best way ive now gotten my peacock eel to eat.
