  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
what abouyt those monsters that live under the bed?

ill get my coat.......

Definately salt for overall monsters, probably for home kept monters too, i.e. morays, groupers, rays, venomous, etc. My personal favorite's the fw aba aba though.

moray eels, sharks, triggers, puffers, groupers, rays, squid, lobsters, just to name a few and most of these dont need any bigger tank than would be apropriate for a dovii or an arowana or alligator gar the real freswater monsters

but think of this in south america alone there are more species of fish than in all the oceans

but i stick to fresh because of ease of maintenance and cost think of the water changes and i would do a reef aquarium anyway because all the inverts are cool

That's not true, where did you get your info? Around 40% of all the planets known fish are freshwater, that is a lot but you also have to consider that very little of the ocean has been seen.

I would have to say saltwater. For starters the worlds largest predatory fish live in saltwater. For oddballs the ocean has one hell of a list, just most of them cannot be kept in tanks or people don't know about them.

:iagree: most of the earth is ocean that hasn't been explored yet so there's definatly more salt water species out there...imo the real sw monsters can't be kept in home aquariums

If we're talking creepy looking oddballs think of all the deep ocean fish. They got fish that light up down there. Those can't really be kept in an aquarium though...
