I have a freshwater fish tank now how could I turn it into a saltwater tank. I could use all the same fillters for it right.

It depends, do you want a reef tank or a fish only? What's your tank size, and what filter do you have?
I want to have a lionfish or two idk my fillters right now but will find out. How much would it cost to convert it over. It's a 55 gallon
Well if its a 55gal I would get a octopus skimmer. And if you don't own any filters now build a sump. You don't have to drill the tank to build one. Plus they are cheap and are better for salt systems then hob filters. But you can always just use a hob if you wanted. I recommend a ac110 or two.
Well you pretty much restart from scratch. You gotta clean it all out. Buy sand for it and salt water fish tank rocks that lfs will sell. Then you need lighting heater powerhead your filters. Then you set the tank up. Get it cycled bout a month it will take maybe more. Then you add salt fish. Oh I forgot you need saltwater mix from your lfs or online to make salt water and you want a hydrometer to check the salinity.

I can use my same fillters but will have to buy new cartarges. I can use the same heater. I can get sand from the beach right and I can use the lights that.I already have. All I would have to buy is salt mix the hydro meter and rock. How much does that suff cost.
