Thinking of doing another tank and I'm just curious on what everyone's opinion on freshwater vs saltwater tanks are? I currently have a freshwater going and I'm thinking about using the extra tank as saltwater. :)

Saltwater could get more expensive but depends on the setup imo.

I love saltwater and am always tempted to set up another tank but I hated wasting all that salt when I did water changes. It's bad enough so much water gets wasted lol.Despite all of that,I still may end up with a large angel or maybe another shark in the future.

I like the variety of fish saltwater has to offer. Don't get me wrong though I still like my freshwater fish, just thinking of different options. I think the sharks are really cool but I also like the angel fish.

My two favorite groups of fish. When it comes to angels it's hard to beat a nice sized emperator or a Majestic.

I love saltwater tanks but its just common sense that they will always be more expensive than freshwater. Even the most simple of tanks need a decent quantity of live rock.

Just setup a 55l cube aquarium for saltwater.

I don't think common sense has anything to do with it some people don't do research first and impulse buy and some lfs will not educate them even if they know this all about sales in most cases.

Since you have fresh already why not go salt? It does tend to be a bit more expensive, but is fun in it's own way.

That's what we are leaning towards. I just have to make sure I learn all about the saltwater tanks before starting it. I have been reading on the forums and some internet research, but still have more to learn before we actually start the set up and decide for sure.

I like my freshwater Had a 100 gallon years ago with large angelfish and some wrasses pretty cool but got pretty expensive and I lost a few nice fish with a power outage
