SAND OR GRAVEL?? 125 GALLON

Sure. Any active bottom-dweller will kick up the sand with a quick movement or flick of tail.
The plus is that it does settle pretty quickly, just make sure you rinse it well before putting it in the tank to remove all the dust and finer particles. I have it in my 125 and it looks GREAT.
 
I'm turning toward's sand now .. ;)

I had gravel in my tank , medium to large size and the noise from the fish moving it around or just slaming it when they chomp on a food Idem made me nervious about possible cracking one day .
