Go with Pool Filter Sand Grade 20. Looks pearly white and big enough that it doesnt fly around. Great for frontosas.

^^^^^i just picked up 2 50lb bags. each $9.99. nice size grains. not too big or small and stays grounded. i put one bag in my 60gal. growout tank where the sand is 2" deep (give fish some play). good buy and easy on the eyes! doing my 40 gal. tomorrow!

I put 100 lbs. in my 125. I actually stir it up with my hand to get it turned over and none has gotten in my filters yet.

just finished. 120lbs. 80lbs of eco complete and 40lbs tahitian black. looks good. i'll post picks as soon a i get the camara from wifey. thanks for all the help.

Can't wait to see those pic's. I'm strongly considering, right on the verge on making the change from the crushed coral to sand. So hurry w/ the pic's!!! Please :D
Patience may be a great virtue, but it's not 1 of my top 100, but I try, LOL.

toehead11183, that ROCKS, looks GREAT, IMO. Where did you buy yours from & how did it clean up for you? Again thanks for the pic's, tank looks great, just 1 more thing trying desperately to convince my wonderful other half, that a 150 :headbang2like yours is not that much bigger, dimension wise, than the 75 that I have set up now. So would you, if you get a chance, take a pic just a little further bck from the tank so it shows a bit of the wall & the surrounding's, so she might grasp some size/depth perception. I can't tell you how much I would appreciate it, could mean the difference of a new tank :clap or not

tell her i went from a 75 to the 150. it's not that much of a change. just 2 feet longer. she's like it when you get it. my wife thought 150 was too big but once i got it she loved it. i got the sand from drs.fostersmith.com $120 for 120# of sand and $13 for shipping. you cant beat it with a stick. good luck convincing her.

just some advice when getting it. to make her happy, try to involve her as little as possible with the work of getting it and setting it up. but let her put her 2 cents in when it comes to decorating it. unless she wants to help. it'll make it alot easier on the both of you.
