Saratoga jardini pond build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's the one Steve , yer gona take good few days for eyes to clear , sounds like they'll be ok though few more water changes , at least this experience has brought them closer together lol

yea though every now and then if the barra gets in the jars way he give him a bump

not too sure if there's a med specific for cloudy eyes though. not even sure what causes them to be honest.... I always thought it was bacteria taking advantage of a stressed fish but could be wrong. can anyone shed some light on that for future ref?

Bumps are or its chomps you want to worry about and constant chasing , the chasing alone has seen off loads of tankmates in mine just from the stress , as mine git bigger he used to move pipes and bogwood to get to stuff it was a nightmare

im more worried about the barra chomping the jar when hes bigger

I always thought I was a self defence thing where fish slimes eyes up to protect them from amonia or poor quality wster , the barra will get the better of him when gets bigger but he's gota get there first and the jar will know it lol , mine killed a few potential threats before they had chance to get big enough ( clever boy lol )

if you notice the Barra's growth rate increasing immensely, start looking at separating them. Barra's can eat fish almost half their size if they feel the need to do so. Just have a look at the pics of my barra eating a rosy barb - he did eventually finish it off haha

Barras sound evil I want one now hahaha , no chance of finding one in UK though

nah, they're not really aggressive as long as they know they can't eat their roommates. If you wanted an aggressive aus native fish I think the best is the mangrove jack... sooty grunter and jungle perch can be pretty mean aswell

barras arnt agressive in my ipinion just have a BLOOOOODY HUGE stomach lol
