good thinking mate let us know how ya get on , there must be some silicone that sticks to liquid rubber , I've used this stuff at work called c.t.1 , this stuff is strong worth googling it not sure about using it on tanks , we tested at work stuck two bits of timber together and tried to pull it appart once set none of us could manage it (even the 18st labourer who ive seen pick one end of a car up and move it lol )

If your cats anything like any of mine it'll be eating everything you throw in soon and quick before the jar Hoovers everything up

What about sikaflex 227? It's not really silicone it's actually polyurethane. Does polyurethane stick well to rubber?

But I'm not sure if it is safe for aquariums

If they run into the glass hard enough, their jaws can break off
madness it must be horrible to see my gars looked shocking when they bent there noses and once it happens you know its for life :(

The other thing you need tolook out for and do tester is if it burns or corrodes the liquid rubber once they meet , some chemicals react with one another

hmm im thinking silicone the glass to the wood and then tape it up once cured and the seal it with liqued rubber and put a bead of scilicone to to be safe anround the glass
