Satellite LED reviews?

Current USA even states the satellite plus LEDs are only compatible with the ramp timer for on/off not dimming, is anyone having success with the ramp timer actually dimming the lights?
Its been clarified a bit that if you just use standard colors without effects that the ramp timer should be able to work. I have the timer on an Aqueon set up but have not used it yet on my satellite+ because my two 36" fixtures exceed the limit of the timer. I have to wait until the dual ramp timer comes out and run one on each channel. I read somewhere that a person was using it on their satellite+ set up and noticed a bit of flickering but seemed to work fine.

No I haven't tried one yet myself. I fake it by timing different lights on the same tank to come on in 10 minute intervals.

My 300 has 7 different fixtures and I time them in 3 intervals. Night, dusk/dawn and full day. Kinda old school but it provides transitions that don't spook the fish too much.
