A few nights ago I was at Malibu beach at night. I was standing near the shore when I spotted a glowing object about 20 feet out. The object was round. And when a wave would come and lift it up the object would get brighter. It was cool, never seen it before and it definitely stood out in the dark.
My only guess as to what it was is a jellyfish. My only other guess is that it was plankton. I hear when plankton is disturbed it glows. I really wish I had my video camera. It was in the car about 100 feet up a hill and I was too lazy to go get it, plus I felt if I left and came back this animal would be gone. It did eventually drift away toward the deep though. Any idea what it was? Anyone ever see anything like it?
