No honestly everything is the same. Other then adding a few loaches.have you done anything different in the past week? anything at all even if its not important. I usually go on trips expecting to lose fish and deal with it when I get back.

Sorry for your lossesNot too long ago I setup an new tank with the following.
Rams, lamp eye tetras, angelfish, Cory loaches, Cory catfish.
Well yesterday my sister over fed them. So I vacuumed the waste out the next day when I got back home. And now today I noticed signs of ick. Sadly I have lost 6 fish in 2 days and my hard earned money and my beloved fish are slowing going down the drain....![]()

Did you quarantine the loaches?
If not, that may be where the ick came from, as stated by others, ick is a parasite, and overfeeding does not cause ick.
And I also agree, never let anyone feed your fish. I would sometimes leave for 10 days to 2 weeks, and they were fine without feeding at all during that time.
And you are right, the ram has ick.

many people don't have quarantine tanks, especially if you're not keeping expensive fish. I wouldnt mind having one myself but its just another tank and most people (including me) don't want the extra work. thats just how I feel though (although I've never had disease problems)
