His name is Leutheuser-Schnarrenberger, he is 6 years old and the most intelligent reptile i have ever seen (he makes a pillow from the substrate to lay his head on...). He loses his skin right now, so he looks a little bit shreddy ha ha

Let me say this, argus monitors are not easy to handle. They have extremly sharp teeth and are one of the more agressive monitor species.

all in all he is 1,5 meters long. Thats around 4,1 feet.

You shouldn't feed it at the door right there like that because you are training him that when the door is opened its feeding time and he's going to end up biting you thinking your hand is food.

I know. Normally i just throw the food into his enclosure. But that kind of meat, it wouldn´t work.
