Wes,

I'll take a half dozen. PM me your phone # and I'll give you my CC info.

Don't say I don't look out for you now....;). Although next month I will be expecting you to do a Rapps/Below Water with me...haha.

Wes, I thought about askin you, but I figured I'd leave it alone for a while. I still want them, but i figure you've heard enough of me askin you to get them. You'll let me know when you do get some...:headbang2 ...hopefully

Are these better in pairs or by themselves Wes?

I really want a couple but I just dont know if I can afford them. Sucks being a poor college student.

They do better single or in larger groups. In pairs, they run into the trouble of fighting with each other. Unless, you could mix a bunch of other "cheaper" scats with them, that usually helps.

What's this rapps/oliver order you're mumbling about? How come I haven't heard about it yet?

Wes

I bought two from wes when he had them a few years ago. One killed the othe after about a year - became dominate/bigger and just bullied it to starvation and death. By the time I figured out what was going on, quarantine was of little use.

I'm buying two more now, and bought a green spotted (scat argus) last week in anticipation of this purchase. I'm hoping the larger group will do better.

My experience has been in a lightly brackish tank (1.004-1.007) with archers/eels, and these guys really are bullet proof. I think everything you read about the more common scat argus applies, but also with a bit of anecdotal evidence of good FW tolerance.

For those considering a brackish tank, you won't regret it.
