how good do black skirt tetras school? they are pritty cheap and would look good in the tank. also would me getting a shark help them school better?

Back Skirt Tetras mainly school in times of danger. The spread out across the tank when unthreatened. But they do make a nice addition to any community, watching them argue among one another is quite amusing.

i dont want neons..sorry no cardnials either.

i cant get rummynose or any of these fancy fish.

just tell me out of these fish which would school the best:
Tiger barbs
Black skirt tetras
Giant danios

also could i keep a red tailed shark with these? and can you keep 2 red tailed sharks together??

thanks this is all i need answered i DO NOT NEED ANYMORE SUGGESTIONS OF FISH. unless if it is a bottom feeder that can be easily obtained from almost any lfs.

well if you dont want the plec i say go for the golden chinese algae eater, 1 cleared the algae on one side of my tank in one day, but they like to be in pairs by far my fav fishy at the mo

I had schools of tiger bards it looked awesome like a bunch of bees buzzing around. Get at least 10-15. Have you thought of Austrailian rainbows they look excellent in a school. THere are many variations and the colors change as they mature. Good luck

Keep only one but your option for other bottom dwellers will be limited due to their belligerence and you cannot keep two in one tank either unless your tank has enough space which only a 55g or larger can permit.

Chinese algae eaters are out of the question. These may have slow growth rate but do not underestimate the nasty temperament of adult CAEs who will harass other tankmates to death. These also grow to 10 inches.;) CAEs are fine solitary but I would not recommend this in a 30g.
