Actually you can, no one can help you do it though. I agree here as well that really needs to change. Though I'm not sure the medical establishment are the ones pushing this. Given that most geriatric facilities are past capacity a reduction in patients would increase profits. After a cetrtain point past optimal capcity the lose due to law suits exceeds profit increase.

to just be yet another way to extend the life span of people who already spend to much of the end of their lives in misery

I just see this as extending your life prior to those years. Those final years are filled with misery because secondary and tertiary systems fail and primary system begin to fail. Reverse these and then you have it no misery. Misery is prolonged if you slow the failure not if you reverse it.

Well at least we agree on some things :).

I see this as being more of a temporary reversal. It will slow down the aging process a little, but you're not going to turn an 80 year old into a 60 year old, or a 60 year old into a 40 year old. Besides, who's going to be able to afford this kind of thing anyways? Unless a pharmaceutical company finds a way to put the effects in pill form, only the wealthy will be able to afford it, and then it doesn't really help anyone else who could really use it.

And unless the effects extend to mental capabilities and brain function, we're going to end up with a bunch of healthy, physically fit people who don't know where they left their keys, or forget how to drive, or don't recognize their families...

:headbang2this is a really interesting thread. i like it, and support the idea of this age reversal.

what would be nice to know are the effects on the brain.

Kind of reminds me of this one comic book The Amory Wars (where are my Coheed and Cambria fans at?)...only it was the exact inverse. a very young body with a fully developed mind.

I think we as humans are indeed able to realize anything we can conceive. The only limiting factors are time and resources.

both of which are in short supply IMHO.
 
PERSONALLY....I think we should all just die...Like...RIGHT NOW. RIGHT NOW. Now. THIS SECOND. Now. It will be better for the fish in the long term. <3
