Scobina pups born this weekend

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
These have to be my favorite ray of all time. I dont know of anyone in the UK that keeps these anymore which is a shame as they are far better than retics.
Congrats on the birth of your pups its a pleasure to see some for a change.

Thanks guys and thanks for the info. I did increase the temp on my pup tank and right away they took after the frozen bloodworms. I've been trying different temps on my pup tank with different rays and allways find the pups need the higher temp to do well. I thought scobinas where a fairly common ray in the UK?

Not seen any around in the uk for ages!! the last person i knew to have any was rayrayray and he moved them on. I dont even know if they are still in the uk.
Nice to see yours though and to see they are producing pups for you.

Yes these are the same rays you had sent to mareshow. I was lucky enough to have purchased these off him when he wanted to get into black rays. I've allways hoped to aquire more to get some more new blood into my system but am having no luck finding any of these at the moment. I will try and get some current pics of the parents up this weekend.

Hello,

the parents have different bloodlines....I think its no problem to breed with the pups...but for a good beedingstock in the US you should have more bloodlines.
I will be happy to see new pics of your scobinas:headbang2

Kind regards Jörg
