Score! New male Grammodes(w/pics)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I can't believe there are Grammodes out there for under $10 at a lfs and you guys are still kicking around buying it! :screwy: GO BUY IT!

I was tipped off that a 7" Grammode was at a LFS by Ewok and was there within a week to pick it up! Awesome fish.... thanks Ewok!

Nice pickup on that Grammode..... post some pictures once he settles in!

Ok the terrorizing begins already. I woke up this morning to find my monster 5-6" convict dead with his top lip ripped off. It had to have been the new Grammodes because the convict has lived in there forever with no problems.

This might sound stupid because Convicts are considered so common but I loved this guy. He was awesome. RIP.

Oh noes... Sorry for your loss, but your new grammodes has officially welcomed you to the world of keeping grammodes. Your new guy sounds as aggressive as mine.

I will say your new addition looks great, get a divider now though, could be more casualties. Best to keep one handy if mixing grammodes with others.

That just shows you how aggressive grammodes can be. Sorry for the loss of your brute looking convict. How does the grammodes get a long with the jags?

Grammodes kill, but have a better chance of being kept in a community than dovii.

He seems to have settled in just fine. I rearranged the driftwood logs and changed a few fish around today. I changed out the Argentea and Lyonsi (because they're the weakest in the tank) for a 9" F0 Crenicichla lenticulata and and 10" C. sp Venezuela. The pikes are tough as nails and can hold their own no prob. I left the 2.5" male grammy and 4" female grammy in with him though.

What size tank and how does he do with the female festae?

Tank is 265 gallons-7'L x 2'W x 2.5'H. He and the female Festae totally ignore each other. He and the female Grammodes is a different story lol.
