  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
a scrubbie is about 3x3x1 or 9cu in. (zennzo)
231 cu in per gallon.
26 scrubbies per gallon

I have a 55 gal sump with about 12 gallons of space for bio or 300 scubbies for a 125 gal tank.

I had 2,000 scrubbies in a 170 gallon sump hooked to on my 210 gallon before I sold it....

LOL thats retarded. I would love to do something like that , but i have to be able to fit my sump inside of my stand. And its only 24 inches wide .... blah.

So ill probly have around 300 scrubbies in my 55 gallon sump. I might have two 55 gallon sumps and connect them together inside the stand. Wonder how i could make that happen

Yeah, it was overkill, waaay overkill...

FYI

(Scrubbie) Surface area/cu.ft.:370

(Bio Ball) Surface area/cu.ft.:100-175

parents said no to the 535. They said nothing bigger than 2' wide. So i decided to take up the biggest wall possible. Its 1 inch thick acrylic too.

the stand and canopy are made out of acrylic also. They will me matted black , though i kind of want the stand to be see through. The sump will be a 55 gallon clear sump , it would be cool to see the filtration through the stand :)

local build?

probably but eh, i didn't do research on the actual surface area before hand honestly, tank has a massive bio load. figured better safe than sorry. the few extra bucks don't bother me and i don't have anything else to ut in that extra room...

shoot me the info, cause im wondering how you saved $6k when tenecor will deliver a 600 gal for less than that...
